Your vacation home is a tranquil and pleasurable six minute walk to the historical, charming and picturesque cove of Playa Audiencia. One of Manzanillo's favorite coves, where the waves are gentle and the water temperature is just right. This is the cove where the early 16th century conquistador, Hernando Cortez and his men and ships were surrounded by Aztec archers in their boats; bows drawn and aimed. Vastly outnumbered by the threatening Aztec warriors, Hernando asked for (and was granted) an audience with the King…hence the name Playa Audiencia. In more modern times, the cove was famous for the movie 10, and Bo Derek running in the surf.

A two minute walk to the bus stop (parada) where for 5 pesos (.50) you take a ride on a winding, cobblestone road that hugs the mountain on one side and the ocean cliffs on the other on Manzanillo’s most picturesque route. The views are dramatic and spectacular! If you prefer, you can walk the route in 45 min. Early mornings and evenings are wonderful; nights, well, they’re down right breathtaking with the lights of Manzanillo dazzlingly lining the bay in the far distance! There’s usually one or two brilliantly lit Super Cargo Ships in the bay adding to the visually overall stunning effects. The Brisas / Hadas bus ride, after descending the ‘circuito’, will take you to the modern day Plaza Manzanillo Mall or Wal-Mart’s for shopping. The return ride to your vacation home is quick and easy. . . Or take a half hour enchanting walk along the ocean, passing by the vendors and their stalls of souvenirs, have some fish tacos and a beer for 30 pesos or a tasty three course beef or chicken meal for 50 pesos including beverage, in a small open-air restaurant; the waves of the Pacific crashing just yards away. And then continue on your journey and go back in time to the quaint little pueblo of Santiago . . .where you can find anything you could possibly want to make your vacation even more memorable. There are two more great walks starting right from your front door, including a lovely walk to the Las Hadas Marina, where you can sit and have a wonderful lunch or dinner and walk amongst the yachts. Your host will show you all the wonderful walks first by car. Your vacation home also comes with High Speed Internet and Star Choice Satellite TV…watch the NFL Playoffs and any of your favorite shows!

The refrigerator comes stocked with a 3 day supply of food; there will be turkey, ham, mayo, lettuce, carrots, celery, onions, cokes and beer. Cupboards are stocked with bread, chips, soup, tortillas, coffee and more, if rented monthly. In other words, no need to go shopping right away; just sit back and relax; remember: You have arrived in Paradise!
