Summer Fishing Report - July to September,
2008
The
weekly fishing report is back after summer
vacations!!!
Capitans have reported on & off again
fishing. weather was unpredictable with
high winds in the afternoons. In between
storms fishing was excellent!!! reports
of multiple sail fish & Dorado during
these times.
Look for excellent Dorado fishing in September
& October. We will be heading out on
the Albatross 3 in the days to come on the
hunt for big game.

fishing heats up here in Manzanillo, Mexico

June
15th to June 27th 2008
Hello
fellow blue water fisherman!!!!
Manzanillo is the place to fish in June.
Bluewater was in to one mile.
Yellow fin tuna, Dorado, Sailfish & blue
Marlin are around in abundance.
The charter fleet produced multiple catches
daily.
We are out of the water right now making out
boat the best in the fleet.
The Albatross Three will be back in Action
July 1st.
Weather is in the mid 90's, light breeze,
rain at night.
Congrats to the Lori5 on 600lb Marlin caught
just three miles offshore!!!!!!!

28th to June 8th. 2008
Great
fishing here in Maznanillo Sailfish & blue
Marlin are on the bite Look for the fishing
to remain good for the next two weeks with good
moon conditions. Multiple billfish are reported
from most charter boats. Weather is holding
up low 90s breezy in the afternoon blue water
is at 2.5 miles. the June rains should bring
in the school Dorado. Lots of fun on light tackle!!!!
Hopefully no tropical storms or hurricanes to
put a damper on the fishing!!! Soft casts, tight
lines, & keep those drags lose to all of
you fishing around the world!

10th - May 17th, 2008
Wow!!!
Manzanillo fishing is hot.
The bite has turned on for the pacific sailfish.
Most boats are having multiple catches.
We went out three days this week and had 6 sails,
landing three. Average 80lbs
Three yellowfin in the boat. 20lbs each
numerous jacks,& sierra dolphins everywhere
blue water moved in to one mile.
after 10A:M bite!!! 10-2pm best time
congrats to Eric from Senor Sushi on his sailfish
& thanks for diinner!!!
S unny skies 94 degrees southern winds full
moon tommorrow
Water temps are perfect, Look for the late morning
afternoon bite to continue for the next week
or so.
Dorado should be arriving shortly with the first
rains.

to my brother Jamie on his engagement up in
Oregon.

29 - May 6th, 2008
Still
tough fishing!!!
Water conditions are still not good inside 20
miles.
The good news is Dorado are starting to show up
past 20 miles.
Lots of bonitas and jack crevelle in close
sailfish around!! Not Hungry!!!
We saw one marlin all week and it surfaced about
200 meters from boat.
we trolled the area but never saw it again. Looked
like a nice blue.
Water temp is coming up. Looking for some solid
fishing in the next couple of weeks
Calm seas right now, blue skies, western wind.

19- 26, 2008
Tough
fishing this week.
Hit school of yellow fin tuna. 30lb range
Had a first time deep sea fisherman. 10 years
old
He even ate a fish raw!!! Crazy kid
Numerous sailfish in the area but not aggressive.
One marlin follow up.
Lots of Jack and a few bonita.
Water conditions were good about 20 miles out,
anything closer no good
Blue skies temp 90 degrees
Light winds
Lots of dophins
A few whales |
